Prosperis hits the high notes for the Prince's Trust

Prosperis took part in the Halliwells Corporate Challenge 2007, a fund raising effort in which businesses are given £50 and three months to grow it to as much money as possible for the nominated charity.

The company signed up to the Corporate Challenge for the second year running and this year enlisted the help of four talented members of staff, who go by the name of ‘Vocal Explosion’.

Led by corporate director of Prosperis Niall Gunn, the 60’s four-piece band launched a ‘marathon busk’ at the Inspiring Women networking lunch in Sheffield on Friday 16 November.

Having braved various pubs around the region, the boys also wowed shoppers in Leeds’ Victoria Quarter and went on to entertain guests at the glittering Halliwells Corporate Challenge Gala Dinner on 30 November in Manchester.

Vocal Explosion’s efforts were given a boost by one of the company’s clients, Sound Control Modern Music Stores. The team at Sound Control kindly donated a Fender Squier electric guitar signed by Jim Kerr of Simple Minds to auction at the Corporate Challenge Gala Dinner on 30 November, which was sold for £2,000 at the event.

Vocal Explosion went down a storm and the Prosperis team are celebrating their final total of £5,100 worth of donations. Managing director Beverley Webster said: “We’ve all had great fun taking part in the Challenge – and it’s great that our multi-talented team have had the chance to show off their alter egos. We are delighted that we managed to raise such an impressive amount for the Prince’s Trust, and our thanks go to Sound Control for helping us out with our auction prizes”.
