Is your company in shape for 2009

January 30th 2009

Be prepared
It is essential to begin this year with your finances as organised and in order as possible. Make sure you know what your company’s financial status is and keep a close dialogue with your bank/lender and accountant so that if any problems do arise they can be discussed and defused as soon as possible.

Protection
Make sure you have the relevant protection in place such as Key Man, Shareholder Protection and a corporate Will so that if you are hit by unforeseen circumstances such as the sudden death or serious illness of one of your key personnel, you will be strongly placed to survive the storm.

Employee benefits review
In these challenging economic times, it’s vital that you retain your key staff and make sure you have the skills in place ready for the financial upturn (it will come, we promise)!

How long is it since you reviewed the benefits you provide for your employees to see if they match up with those of your competitors?

Prosperis can provide a benchmark report illustrating the level of benefits offered throughout your sector. If you would like to take advantage of this no-obligation service, please call us or email advice@prosperis.co.uk

Directors’ personal planning
Like most managers, are you focusing exclusively on your corporate responsibilities and not reviewing how well you have provided for your family or income in retirement should the unforeseen happen?
Do you have aging parents who suddenly find their income has dropped and they find themselves asset-rich and cash-poor?
When did you last review the terms of your Will to ensure they still match your wishes – or worse still, have you and/or your partner never written a Will?

If you have savings, have you seen your returns plummet?

We have good relationships with a number of solicitors and would be happy to pass on their details. If you would like one of our Wealth Management advisers to meet you and help you assess whether your financial plans are in shape, call us or email advice@prosperis.co.uk to arrange an appointment.
