This cover will pay a lump sum payment to yourself in the event
that you are diagnosed with certain serious illness. The illnesses
covered will be specified in the policy along with any exclusions
and limitations. These differ between insurers but nearly always
include; heart attack, cancer, strokes, kidney failure, coronary
bypass or transplant.
This type of cover can be used to cover the repayment of a
mortgage, other large debt or to pay for a home to be adapted. This
type of cover is frequently taken out in conjunction with Life
Cover and Income Protection.
